Sculptor Profile:
Beginning life as a scientist, Andy is a largely self taught artist who has been working for thirty years in painting, sculpture and landscape gardening and increasingly blurring the boundaries between all three areas. Clothing in all its aspects is a universal experience. Used as sculpture my intention is to explore memories and the fragility and transience of our lives. This year at Caol Ruadh I take a look at the persistent memories of childhood.
Exhibition title: Fluttering and Dancing in the Breeze
"Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Tiny, empty dresses, Fashioned in concrete.
Keepsakes Relics, Spirits.
The fragile transience Of our Bittersweet Lives."
